Get Money Out!

I just watched a segment on Martin Bashir’s program and there’s a web site you can visit if you’re sick and tired of all the money (read “corruption”) in our government. It looks as though this effort is being spearheaded by Dylan Ratigan—another MSNBC program host. If you’d like to add your name to the list, visit GetMoneyOut.com.

Del Mar Dog Surfing

I drove up to Del Mar this morning to catch some of the dog surfing competition. I wasn’t willing to venture into the water (too cold) so I wasn’t able to get too many good surfing photos, but I had fun snapping photos of the dogs on the beach. I also only stayed around for the small dog portion of the competition. Enjoy!

A Sunset for Mollie

We had some beautiful clouds this evening so I ran over to the golf course to snap a few photos. While I was there I met a very nice woman, Molly, who lives in our neighborhood and stopped to watch the beautiful sunset. Enjoy!

Too Much Free Time…

You’d think I have too much free time on my hands. Not really, but every once in awhile I enjoy playing with my photos so… I decided to take a few photos from the OMBAC (Old Mission Bay Athletic Club) Classic Surf competition and see if I could come up with a “poster.” Here’s the result.

Pacific Beach Longboard Surfing

I rode up to Pacific Beach this morning to catch some of the longboard surfing competition. It was overcast and the waves weren’t huge, but there was a great turnout and the surfers looked they were enjoying the day. I like going to Pacific Beach to photograph the surfers and it almost seemed like these folks were going in slow motion compared to what I see when they’re on the shorter boards. Enjoy!

Fashionistas

Last Wednesday night they held a small fashion show featuring traditional Mexican dress. It was getting dark and, of course, I didn’t have my flash, but I was able to get a few nice photos of the outfits. Enjoy!

Fountains in Balboa Park

Dan and I visited Balboa Park last evening and snapped a few photos of the fountains we found there. Enjoy!

Big Waves at La Jolla Cove

We were up at La Jolla Cove yesterday evening, the waves were crashing on the rocks so everyone had to have their picture taken with the waves and I was no exception. Expect in my case I was capturing a photo of the wave and it almost took me. The last time I got hit by a wave I ended up face down and splattered on a rock because I tried to get away. This time I stood my ground and just ended up with wet underwear for the ride home. Enjoy!

Lions and Tigers and Bears… Oh, My

I had a chance to get over to the zoo this weekend and capture a few photos. Enjoy!
