Pacific Beach Longboard Surfing

I rode up to Pacific Beach this morning to catch some of the longboard surfing competition. It was overcast and the waves weren’t huge, but there was a great turnout and the surfers looked they were enjoying the day. I like going to Pacific Beach to photograph the surfers and it almost seemed like these folks were going in slow motion compared to what I see when they’re on the shorter boards. Enjoy!

Big Waves at La Jolla Cove

We were up at La Jolla Cove yesterday evening, the waves were crashing on the rocks so everyone had to have their picture taken with the waves and I was no exception. Expect in my case I was capturing a photo of the wave and it almost took me. The last time I got hit by a wave I ended up face down and splattered on a rock because I tried to get away. This time I stood my ground and just ended up with wet underwear for the ride home. Enjoy!

Out and About

Saturday morning Dan, Judy and I headed up to Ocean Beach for breakfast and then out to Sunset Cliffs to catch some of the scenery. The tide was high so we couldn’t get out on our favorite rocks, but it was still fun snapping photos of some of the locals enjoying the morning. Enjoy!
