San Diego Pride Parade

Yesterday was San Diego’s annual Pride Parade. It was great fun and they estimated a crowd of about 150,000 people. Bill, Judy, Shelley and I met our friends Dan and Andrew for the parade and then attended to festival in Balboa Park. Comet the Lion

This is our 14-year-old Siamese, Comet. I was playing with the video on my Canon DSLR and shot this short video. Comet was just waking up from his afternoon siesta and this is his impression of the MGM Lion

An Evening at the San Diego Zoo

Last night Billy Ray, Dan and I met up at the San Diego zoo. It was a cool evening and the zoo was crowded with summer visitors. The zoo is now open in the evening for the summer and it’s a wonderful time to stroll around the grounds. They also have several special shows for the kids (and adults) and while we tried to avoid the cute little darlings as much as possible, we did enjoy watching the tramolinus acrobatus species (pictured above) perform.

Along the Shore

This past Monday my friend, Dan, and I took a drive up through Pacific Beach and La Jolla. The weather was overcast and there wasn’t too much light, but we enjoyed the safari. The waves were amazing and there were a lot of surfers enjoying the holiday. I’ve put together a little slideshow of photos and you can click on this link or on the photo above to view them.
