Literally… We had all kinds of birds around the house, but these tow were my favorites: A Western Bluebird and a Steller Jay.

I decided to play with my flash this weekend while photographing some Stellar Jays. I need a lot more practice, but I’m pleased with some of my results.

I know it seems kind of silly to go to the zoo to see birds that are common-place, but I always enjoy photographing birds and some of them are truly stunning.
