Garner Valley Marshes

Posted on 02 July 2010

I was driving home last week through Garner Valley and couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the marshes that feed Lake Hemet were in the late afternoon. Of course I had to stop and capture a few photos. These marshes are part of a water system that comes down out of the San Jacinto mountains and is adjacent—if not part of—the south fork of the San Jacinto river. I find this interesting because the north fork of the San Jacinto river is almost 16 miles to the north—and the other side of Idyllwild.
