Welcome to idyguy.com

Lately, I've been doing some freelance graphic design in San Diego, CA. It's been a nice experience and I really get the best of both worlds—the mountains with the cedar and pine trees and the ocean and beach scene.

One of my favorite hobbies is photography and I can't think of anywhere more beautiful than Idyllwild and San Diego to photograph. Well, I could probably come up with a few other places that would be incredible to photograph, but I digress... Be sure to check out my blog for my most recent photos.

Another hobby of mine is motorcycles. I own a 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Heritage Classic and it's been a wonderful bike. So far, I've put over 60K miles on it and it has never let me down. When time allows, I like to take "long" road trips and this Fall my friends Judy and Shelly and I will be traveling up to Colorado for the annual (Four Corners) Sugar Pine Ranch rally at the base of the Rocky Mountains.

Current Projects & UPDATES

Recently, I went out to Pacific Beach and LaJolla with my good friend Dan (SanDan Diego) and he took the photo of me down on the rocks photographing the surfers and wildlife.

As well as my freelance work I'm also working with the Grassroots Fundraising Organization's quarterly magazine—the Grassroots Fundraising Journal. I'm the sole graphic designer and the folks I work with are wonderful. I've always enjoyed work that you can hold in your had when it's finished. I know the trend is towards the web, but there's still something "real" about holding a magazine and/or book in your hands. I'll probably never own a Kindle :-)

I also just finished up a web site for my good friend Richard Kraemer. Richard is the most incredible designer and builder. He's also a contractor, but his calling is that of a designer and builder. Richard used to be a furniture builder and whether he's building a gate for your deck, a storage shed for you back yard or completely remodeling your kitchen is always looks like a fine piece of furniture when he's done. If you'd like to see some of his work, you can visit his web site at: www.richardkraemerdesignbuild.com.

07.19.10: I'm having so much fun with my photogaphy that I decided to put together a gallery of my favorite photo albums. I'm still in the process of putting it all together so I haven't completely integrated into my site. However, if you'd like to visit my photo gallery, you can click on this link.

Finally, I hope you enjoy my web pages and will visit again soon.
